Understand that if Student A and B are planning to study Accounting. If Student A goes to a four year university for all four years, and Student B goes two years to a community college and transfers to the same four year university as Student A, both students can end up with the exact same degree in the same amount of time.
I have developed a list of topics for you to ask your local community college if you are considering this option:
Scholarships
How classes will transfer to the four year institution that you are interested in
Availability of any "2+2" programs
What if you cannot find a program at your in district community college?
Is there an honors program and or a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society?
Is there a study abroad program available?
